- Crispy, buttery rye toast.
- Sexting like teenagers.
- Acceptance of what is and what is not.
- All the things I've enjoyed while getting myself into this hole - lol.
- Flirting.

"Man is made or unmade by himself. In the armory of thought he forges
the weapons by which he destroys himself. He also fashions the tools
with which he builds for himself heavenly mansions of joy and strength
and peace."

I am grateful for so many things today, but I can never fully express how grateful I am for my Life Partner. Just this weekend...
- He told me he is proud of me and admires me for working two jobs to address my financial responsibilities.
- He bought me a Mother's Day card and gave it to me with tears in his eyes.
- He came all the way to my Home Depot and spied on me interacting with customers and then bought a diet coke at my register - again, with tears in his eyes.
- He wore a beautiful suit and took me to synagogue and sang and spoke in Hebrew and touched my heart.
- He went for a playful bike ride with me and we lost a couple hours in conversation on a sunny patio.
- He knew I was exhausted and let me sleep from 6:30pm - 8:30am. He keeps just holding down the fort.
- He said I was awesome for doing, folding, and putting away all the laundry.
- He snuggled me like nobody's business.
- He jumped me in the elevator with passionate kisses.
- He sat quietly beside me and just love, love, loved me.

What a lovely Mother's Day. I am so grateful for...
- A bike ride and beer on a patio with a bunch of colourful characters.
- Being a superstar at my new job.
- A beautiful, sunny day.
- A boyfriend who tells me he is proud of me and admires me.
- The following exchange with my son who I had to phone this afternoon to REMIND that it is Mother's Day. I sarcastically told him I'd be waiting for a poem from him in my honour. This was our exchange...
A Mother’s Day poem for you:
Roses are red
Birds can fly
I love you
But I’m not sure why
Love Dave
My response:
Roses ARE red
And I got none
I love you
You ungrateful son
;-) Mom xo

I am so grateful.
- Last night I was finally on cash being trained by an 18-year-old girl who told me three times that I was doing a great job and that "She's proud of me" - lol. NICE!
- It's summer and people are out. It's electric.
- I was included in a lovely 75th birthday celebration today. I am a "daughter-in-love". That is one of the best titles ever.
- I was in a synagogue for the first time ever today and heard an awkward teenaged boy and a lovely teenaged girl be bar and bat mitzvahed. The windows were beautiful and the giant scrolls looked like blue and white bagpipes.
- I love ice cream drumsticks.

Ahhhhh - so, since yesterday...
- I have walked down the sidewalk in the sunshine from a nearby market with a perfect plum tomato in my hand for lunch. It was cool and satiny smooth and waxy and firm and beautiful. And an old man saw me smiling, with a spring in my step, and bowed to me and bid me a good day and said he was happy to meet me and called me beautiful. (And yesterday a stranger said, "Hi Cutie.") I am exuding good vibes I guess. It feels, sometimes, like this new and welcome sunshine is not only shining ON me, but shining FROM me.
- I have had a real appreciation for my health. My body works beautifully. There is a lovely bit in the Old Testament of the bible that has always stuck with me. In Psalm 139 David is talking to God and he says, "...you knit me together in my mother’s womb... I am fearfully and wonderfully made... woven together in the depths of the earth..." I feel the magic and the power of creation in my body. Absolute elation.
- I have heard a saying I had heard before and realize that I have matured to the point where I truly "get it" now and live my life by it. "Progress - Not perfection." Ahhhhh. How motivating and merciful at the same time.
- I had such a spoiled evening yesterday. I was crampy and all alone and decided to just settle in with a chick flick and all my favourite treats since I am working or volunteering every other night this week.
- In the middle of the night I rolled over and a man who loves me was sleeping there. I love that.

I am grateful that...
- I was able to control myself last night and remember to focus on, "What I want in the end."
- I had an unexpectedly exciting morning :-)
- I have a lot on the go right now and all of it is good.
- My parents are having a great trip and are safe and sending us lots of beautiful pix.
- I am done the boring bit of my Home Depot training and FINALLY get my orange apron.

What a GLORIOUS day!
- I had such a great moment yesterday afternoon. The wife of a relatively new client came into the office to buy him some hearing aid batteries. They both speak no English but she makes a great effort and we manage to get by together. Before leaving she said, "Oh!" and fumbled in her wallet to pull out her brand new Canadian Citizenship card and hold it up proudly. She could tell by the look of delight on my face (and my applause) that I was as excited for her and she was. What a lovely exchange. I don't know how, with no common language, I have communicated to her that I genuinely care about her as a person. But evidently I have. And I am thrilled to have been included in her joy. That may be one of my highlights of 2012.
- I saw David Suzuki in Osgoode Subway Station.
- I had a kick ass meeting this morning that may significantly and positively change my future :-D
- I am continually growing up and taking ownership for my own experience of life. It's nobody else's fault. It's nobody else's problem. It's mine to create and explore.
- I have a boyfriend that makes me laugh out loud a LOT!
- I have positive connections with everybody I meet. Isn't that amazing?
- Tonight I get to work at my new(ish) part time job.
- I am so lucky to have my car - I swear. What a blessing.
- I love my curls. I swear to god.
- You know when you see a dog (or a horse) rolling around on it's back in the grass just having a great old stretch? The sun is so beautiful today I just want to go to a park and roll around in the grass. I am in a fabulous frame of mind.

Oh my!
- The wilds are BURGEONING with lilac. Mmmmmmmmm heavenly!!! It REALLY makes me realize how lucky I am to not suffer allergies. I can't imagine having any of the joy of springtime taken away by suffering. Thank you thank you thank you!!
- Man oh MAN I keep the office humming like a machine. I love being such a contribution to my employer and to our clients. I just LOVE it.
- I love that, when I hear Michael Jackson's, "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough", I can close my eyes and instantly be transported to a rollerskating rink. Sigh...
- I love saltines. I don't know what to tell you. But if that's not gratitude for the plain and simple things in life, I don't know what is.
- I have had a VERY EXCITING opportunity presented to me. Subsequently I am, in fact, VERY EXCITED!!!
